About / Clearsky Aerotech
Ahundredyearsofaerospacecraft,appliedtotheindustrialsky.
We are an aerospace engineering team in Timișoara, building fixed-wing UAVs for the missions modern Europe asks of its critical infrastructure.
Our story / 2002—2026
From a modelling club to industrial UAVs.
The path started in 2002 in an aviation-modelling club, ran through five years of aerospace engineering at the National Aviation University in Kyiv — a first survey drone, fixed-wing platforms for aerial chemical application — and a decade of professional civil aviation.
That experience is what Clearsky Aerotech is built on: real aviation engineering, applied to long-endurance industrial UAVs. We draw on the broader Eastern European aerospace tradition, but the aircraft, the decisions, and the documentation are our own.
- Ch. 012002
Aviation modelling club.
Designing and building model aircraft by hand — the first feel for structures and flight.
- Ch. 022007—2012
Aerospace engineering, Kyiv.
Five years at the National Aviation University. A first survey drone; fixed-wing platforms for aerial chemical application.
- Ch. 032012—2022
A decade in civil aviation.
Ten years of professional aviation experience, drone work never set aside.
- Ch. 042024
Clearsky Aerotech.
The company forms around that experience — focused on industrial fixed-wing UAVs.
- Ch. 052026
CSK-01.
Industrial hybrid-turbine UAV. Target 12 h endurance, 12 kg payload, EASA SORA 2.5 ready.
Why we exist
Industrial missions deserve industrial engineering.
Europe's grid, pipelines and forests are being asked to do more with less inspection. Drone surveys cover the easy cases. The hard cases — 200 km in one pass, methane LDAR with defensible documentation, fire assessment in 48 hours — need a different aircraft. We build that aircraft.
How we work
Four principles. One bias toward evidence.
- 01 / 04
Manned-aircraft discipline.
Every airframe goes through ground tests, flight tests and SORA-grade dossier preparation. No demo-grade shortcuts; no "it works in the lab" handoffs to clients.
- 02 / 04
Engineering on the call.
No sales loop. The engineer who will solve your problem is in the first conversation. If we cannot do something, you will hear it on call one, not on contract signing day.
- 03 / 04
Built for ten-year fleets.
We design airframes for fleet operators, not one-off demos. Spare parts pipelines, modular avionics, training material — the unglamorous part of a UAV programme.
- 04 / 04
Defensible documentation.
Every flight produces data your auditor, your regulator and your insurer will accept. EASA SORA, OGMP 2.0, EU Methane Regulation — the paperwork is part of the deliverable.
Team / Areas
Senior engineers from four aerospace disciplines.
Names and biographies of named team members are published with each engineer's consent. Reach out to receive the full roster.
- 01 / 04
- Aerodynamics
- Wing planform, control authority and propulsion integration. Senior leads previously worked on transport-category aircraft programmes.
- 02 / 04
- Propulsion
- Gas-turbine and hybrid powertrain specialists. Endurance figures come from engineers who have signed off on certified engines.
- 03 / 04
- Avionics & autonomy
- Mission computer, autopilot tuning, sensor fusion. C2 links engineered for BVLOS corridors under EASA SORA SAIL II–III.
- 04 / 04
- Regulatory & flight test
- EASA SORA dossier preparation, ConOps writing, ground- and flight-test campaign management. Previously shipped manned-aircraft programmes through European authorities.
